Novare Group Opens Viewpoint Sales Center36-story, Mixed-Use High-Rise Condominium at Peachtree and 7th to Combine Old Atlanta and NewAtlanta, GA - (March 29, 2007) - Novare Group, the Atlanta-based developer of high-rise condominiums and a pioneer of Midtown Atlanta's residential renaissance, and Loudermilk/Rohrig, LLC opened the sales center today for Viewpoint, a 36-story, 385-home high-rise condominium. Located on Peachtree Street between Sixth and Seventh streets, Viewpoint's approximately two-acre site is in the heart of Atlanta's developing "Midtown Mile" retail corridor. Viewpoint will also feature 50,000 square feet of signature two-story retail space fronting Peachtree Street. Marrying old Atlanta and new, the project also includes a historic Neel Reid building that will be preserved, converted into luxury residences and incorporated into the new development. The two-story retail façade of Viewpoint is a key element of Midtown Alliance's Blueprint Midtown community master plan, which calls for the addition of two million square feet of retail space primarily along Peachtree Street. Similar to Chicago's Magnificent Mile and New York's Madison Avenue, the "Midtown Mile" will merge new and existing retail into a cosmopolitan shopping and dining district. According to the Alliance, over 100,000 square feet of retail is currently under development with completion expected in the next two years. "Novare Group has been a pioneer in the revitalization of Midtown, creating the residential density that is attracting retail," said Susan Mendheim, executive director of the Midtown Alliance. "They are on the leading edge yet again with Viewpoint's two-story retail spaces. This type of development is exactly what we need to continue the transformation of Peachtree into Atlanta's grand signature boulevard." Designed by The Preston Partnership and constructed by R.J. Griffin, Viewpoint's one bedroom, one bedroom-den and two bedroom homes will include many of Novare Group's well-known amenities and stylistic touches, including floor-to-ceiling glass, large balconies, 10-foot ceilings, kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and high-tech features such as ultra-high speed Internet access and pre-wiring for surround sound. Community amenities will include a club-quality fitness center with aerobic and weight areas overlooking downtown and Midtown, resort-style pool deck with outdoor living room and fireplace, and poolside clubroom with high-definition plasma TVs, . Residents will also experience the convenience of 24/7 concierge service, controlled access and reserved parking. Residents at Viewpoint will also enjoy Novare's latest high-tech residential feature, an online application called HALO, that will allow residents to order services from local restaurants and other businesses, program climate control, and access a host of other applications at home or remotely. Viewpoint's sales center, also designed by The Preston Partnership, is located directly across from the project in a street-level retail space of another of Novare's projects, Spire Condominiums. The sales center features a full-size model of a one-bedroom home with den, designed by well-known Atlanta interior designer Wendy Blount, who is also spotlighted in the inaugural edition of First Home magazine. The model home highlights floor-to-ceiling views, new fixture and finish selections, and custom closets by Spacemakers . In the lobby, a wallscape area map showcases the location of area restaurants, bars/clubs and retail shops within walking distance, while a scale model of the building with plasma touch-screen allows for selection and viewing of homes locations within the building. "Midtown Atlanta continues to attract young professionals who are looking for a state-of-the-art luxury lifestyle at an attainable price point," said Conor McNally, Novare Group's developer for the project. "Viewpoint's residents will find it here, while living in the heart of the Midtown Mile." For more information, visit www.ViewpointMidtown.com. Viewpoint follows in the footsteps of Novare Group's previous Midtown projects, including Metropolis in 2002, and Spire and TWELVE® Atlantic Station® in 2005. Also currently under development by Novare in Midtown, in partnership with AIG Global Real Estate, is The Atlantic, a 46-story condominium of 401 residences in Atlantic Station. About Novare Group |
